You are about to download a self extracting executable (EXE) file - - do not be confused by the .zip
file extension. If your system/browser is set up correctly you will be prompted to save the file on your hard
drive. The default file name will be "Institutions2.zip". If your computer does not
have an extracting program such as Winzip, you will need to add the .EXE extension. After the .exe file
is saved, go to the folder where it was saved and select Institutions2.exe and the extract procedure will
begin. (If your computer does have an extracting program such as Winzip, you do not need to change the
extention.)
The extract will generate two (2) files:
| 1. |
Institutions2.csv |
- complete Institution file, excluding variable definitions |
| 2. |
Institutions2_definitions.csv |
- definitions for all of the variables in the above file |
To use this download function, please follow the following steps.
- Select the download link.
- When prompted to save the file, change the file extension from .ZIP to .EXE
- Select the folder where you would like the file to be saved (write it down, e.g. c:\downloads\)
- After the resultant executable file is saved, run the file to unzip two(2) "comma separated
variable, CSV" files in the directory of your choice. The file named Institutions2.csv contains the
data on all institutions. The file Institutions2_definitions.csv contains definitions for the field names
in the Institution file.
